Abstract :
The research entitled Assessment of User’s Satisfaction Towards Information Resources of the Maejo University Library. It aims to; 1) assess the satisfaction of information resources provided by Maejo University Library in 2015, 2) identify the problems and solutions in providing library resources. Questionnaires were distributed to users who have been using the library services during March - July 2015. The study found that majority of the respondents are from Faculty of Business Administration with a total of 159 respondents (38.65 percentage), followed by 51 respondents (12.41 percentage) from the Faculty of Agriculture, 49 respondents (11.92 percentage) from Faculty of Architecture and Environmental Design, which consisting of PhD, MBA and undergraduate students, lecturers, staffs and outsiders with a total of 411 respondents. Respondents gave a moderately satisfaction rate with the overall resources available by average of 3.05. These would be categorized into the volume of printed resources had moderately satisfaction (3.09 average), up-to-date printed resources had moderately satisfaction (3.07 average), volume of e-resources had moderately satisfaction (average 2.94), and up-to-date e-resources had moderately satisfaction (average 2.91), respectively. In addition, satisfactory results are given to information resources available in the library which are helpful for problems and solutions awareness on providing information resources of the Maejo University Library. The study has found that a lot of respondents never use the e-resources which mean low utilization because the resources available are fewer and not applicable, including facilities are inadequate and inappropriate on accessing e-resources. The library should be considered has adequate and appropriate resources to some disciplines and in need to promote in-depth or public relations development that encourage the use of all types of information resources.
